Male patient, 20 years old, electrician. No significant personal or family medical history. No regular medication, no known drug allergies. Seeks consultation due to the appearance of a lesion on the posterior side of the neck with 3 months of progression. Applied topical corticosteroid provided by the pharmacy but reports worsening of the lesion. Mild itching present. No other lesions in other body areas. On physical examination, a raised, erythematous lesion with active borders was observed. Slightly scaly, involving the posterior/lateral left cervical region. The diagnostic hypothesis of dermatophytosis was formulated, and the patient was prescribed oral terbinafine, 250 mg, and topical fenticonazole, 20 mg/g. A follow-up appointment was scheduled in 3 weeks. At the time of reassessment, there were no lesions present.
