40-year-old patient with no particular history, victim of a free fall from a significant height, with a point of impact on the cranium, thorax, abdomen, right upper limb and pelvis. Thoracic abdominopelvic CT scan (TAP) revealed a grade III post-traumatic false aneurysm with saccular addiction image and regular contours of the aortic isthmus (Figure 1), a pelvic fracture and thrombosis of the right brachial artery due to arterial spasm.

Oxytocin, widely used in obstetric care for labor induction and augmentation, is generally considered safe, with minimal adverse effects. However, despite its rarity, some individuals can develop hypersensitivity reactions, even without prior allergic history.
Uterine Smooth Muscle Tumors of Uncertain Malignant Potential (STUMPs) are rare neoplasms with characteristics that lie between benign and malignant tumors. They often present as uterine masses causing symptoms such as abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, or mass effect.
Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) remains a widespread yet underrecognized cause of acute and chronic liver disease, contributing to an estimated 44,000 to 70,000 deaths annually. With recurrent HEV outbreaks and limited treatment options, there is an urgent need for effective therapeutic development.
A 5-year-old boy, presenting with fecal incontinence, had a subcutaneous swelling in the sacral region since birth. Lumbo-sacral MRI revealed a posterior neural arch defect through which a lipomatous subcutaneous mass penetrated the spinal canal and attached to the tethered cord (Figure 1).
8-year-male child, born of a second- degree consanguineous marriage, a known case of moderate intellectual disability was referred from the paediatric outpatient department with complaints of bilateral hearing loss of insidious onset, gradually progressive initially noticed at the age of four years by his parents along with defective speech development.
Wearable sleep devices have emerged as valuable tools in the field of sleep medicine, providing an accessible and cost-effective alternative to traditional methods like polysomnography (PSG) and Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) for monitoring sleep. These devices, ranging from consumer-grade fitness trackers to advanced medical-grade sensors, offer a convenient means of tracking sleep patterns, quality, and associated health metrics in real-time.
The occurrence of conjoined twins is a rare event, with craniothoraco-omphalopagus being the rarest form. In this article, we report the case of a 30-year-old primigravida at 18 weeks gestation who was referred to our centre for a second opinion following an abnormal antenatal report from another clinic.
The measurement of patients’ quality of life allows for quantifying the impact of diseases on patients’ experiences. Quality of life is a primary criterion for choosing the method of extra-renal purification.
Eruptive xanthomas are rare cutaneous manifestations characterized by lipid deposition in the skin. They are often underrecognized but may represent the first clinical sign of an underlying lipid metabolism disorder, such as severe hypertriglyceridemia. Clinically, they appear as yellowish papules or nodules, frequently surrounded by an erythematous halo.
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) may cause hematologic disturbances due to chronic inflammation, erythropoietin deficiency, and persistent accumulation of uremic toxins. As a result, patients of CKD may experience myelosuppression but its progression to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) has not been commonly seen.
Meckel’s diverticulum is the most common congenital anomaly of the gastrointestinal tract, usually located in the ileum, and often remains asymptomatic. However, it may rarely be encountered in atypical locations and present with symptoms mimicking acute abdomen.
Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma (PTC) is the most common neoplasia of the thyroid gland and has several variants, being the infiltrative follicular variant rare and with variable prognosis. In this study, we reported the case of a 71-year-old male patient with hypertension and hypothyroidism, who initially presented complaints of pharyngeal discomfort after ingestion of fishbone.
The main effect of testosterone was long-time assumed to be on sexual interest and, indirectly, on erectile function. Newer insights demonstrate that testosterone deficiency impairs the anatomical, ultrastructural, biological and physiological/functional substrate of penile erection, which can be, at least in part, restored by normalization of plasma testosterone levels.
Patterned fibrosing alopecia is a form of scarring alopecia that shares clinical, tracheoscopy, and histopathological features with lichen panoplies and androgenetic alopecia. Its onset has been observed in patients following procedures such as hair transplants, facelifts, and other medical-surgical interventions.
Post-Traumatic Headache (PTHA) is the most common symptom after Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and may be debilitating or progress to chronic. PTHA is part of Post-Concussive Syndrome (PCS), a constellation of symptoms including dizziness, fatigue, and disruptions in mood, sleep, and cognition.
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the most common sexually transmitted disease worldwide, affecting up to 80% of sexually active women throughout their lifetime. Although most infections are transient and asymptomatic, high-risk genotypes such as HPV 16 and 18 are strongly associated with high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions
Patients on maintenance HD have a 10-fold higher risk of developing Subdural Hematoma (SDH) than the general population [1,2]. However, non-traumatic SDH is a rare condition resulting to poor prognosis and high mortality [2,3].
A 30-year-old male patient presented to the neurosurgery outpatient clinic with complaints of headache and neck stiffness. Non-contrast brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) revealed a basilar artery fenestration in the prepontine region (Figure 1).
Acute limb ischemia is defined as any sudden decrease in limb perfusion, which threatens both limb viability and mortality. Acute limb ischemia with concomitant acute myocardial infarction with left ventricular thrombus in a young male without any comorbidities is rare.
Hibernomas are benign tumours with brown adipose tissue differentiation and are one of few differential diagnoses of fat-rich masses with increased 18F-FDG PET/CT uptake. This report describes a 56-year-old patient with cervix cancer where 18F-FDG PET/CT was performed as part of the diagnostic work up.
The hallmark of diabetes, a long-term metabolic disease, is hyperglycemia brought on by insulin failure. Its rising prevalence around the world emphasizes the necessity of precise and effective forecast techniques. By examining medical data, Machine Learning (ML) has demonstrated potential in the diagnosis and prognosis of diabetes.
Accelerated Idioventricular Rhythm (AIVR) is a ventricular ectopic rhythm commonly observed during Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), often seen as a marker of successful revascularization. The occurrence of AIVR post-successful primary angioplasty has not been well described in terms of its time course and associated symptoms, leaving the underlying threat of a potential re-occlusion.
A highly dynamic and complicated system, the Amniotic Fluid (AF) is analysed as a data point to interpret the health of the fetus. Echogenic amniotic fluid is a rare finding that is caused by the presence of particles in the fluid. Vernix caseosa, blood and meconium have all been implicated as the cause of echogenic liquor.
Hyperkeratotic scabies, or Norwegian scabies, are a severe form of scabies occurring in immunocompromised patients or those with a mental deficiency such as Down’s syndrome. It is characterized by a clinical polymorphism posing difficulties in clinical diagnosis
