Primary seminal vesicle schwannoma: Case report with comprehensive review

Schwannomas are rare in seminal vesicles, with most masses being contiguous invasion from nearby malignancies. We report a case of a 23-year-old male with a 7 x 4.6 x 3.5 cm left seminal vesicle mass, confirmed by MRI and biopsy as a low-grade spindle cell neoplasm with neural differentiation.

Brain abscesses: Clinical image

Brain abscesses are a rare and potentially fatal infection that can present with indolent manifestations. We present the case of brain abscesses in a 55-year-old immunocompetent man with a history of bronchiectasis, who developed significant sequalae event after appropriate antibiotic therapy and surgical drainage, highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and prompt treatment.

Huge right atrial myxoma manifesting with dyspnea and right-sided heart failure: A case report

Although cardiac myxomas are the most prevalent type of primary cardiac tumors, barely they originated from the right atrium and generally are asymptomatic in such cases. Here we described a case of a 24-year-old male with right atrial myxoma. The mass was huge and obstructed the tricuspid valve which eventually led to right-sided heart failure.

Delayed onset Nevus of Ota: A rare presentation in a 60-year-old woman

Nevus of Ota is usually characterized by unilateral, mottled, slate blue or dark brown hyperpigmentation on the forehead, face and around eye area. Ota’s nevus is usually congenital but may appear in early childhood or in puberty. We report a late onset Nevus of Ota in a 60-year-old Asian woman and discuss clinical diagnosis, risks, and treatment modalities.

Limb arterial thrombosis associated with Mycoplasma pneumoniae

A 3-year-old girl was hospitalized after experiencing fever and cough for 1 week. The patient’s body temperature was 38.8°C, and her oxygen saturation was 96% while breathing ambient air. Physical examination revealed coarse crackles.

A case with community-acquired pneumonia caused by nocardia

Nocardiosis is a disease affecting different organs of the body and pulmonary forms of nocardiosis are induced via aerosolized inoculation of the bacterium into the airways. The infection causes pneumonia-like symptoms. Human urogenital myiasis caused by Clogmia albipunctata (Diptera: Psychodidae): First report in Bangladesh

We report the first case of human urogenital myiasis caused by Clogmia albipunctata in a 32-year-old housewife in Bangladesh. Identification at the species level has been performed by morphological examination of exerted pupa and adult flies generated from pupa by rearing in the entomology laboratory, and they belonged to Clogmia albipunctata.

Nevus of ota: Clinical image

We report the case of a 23-year-old patient, with no particular history, followed in our training for Nevus of Ota. Ophthalmological examination revealed visual acuity of 10/10 in the right eye, eye tone of 12 mmhg, palpebral hyperpigmentation, subconjunctival hyperpigmentation with a bluish appearance of the sclera and a hyperpigmented iris.

Dermoscopy of xanthelasmoid mastocytosis

A one-year-old boy presented with a 3-months history of pruriginous cutaneous lesions on his trunk and limbs. Dermatological examination revealed multiple erythematous and pigmented plaques and nodules varying in size (Figure 1A). Darier’s sign was negative.

80 years-old female patient came to the emergency department with fever and pain in the right upper quadrant. She had diabetes mellitus and cirrhosis due to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. In her history, she had undergone Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) 3 months prior due to biliary stones.
